The Duke Homestead State Historic Site (Durham, Durham County)

The Tobacco Farm Life Museum (Kenly, Johnston County)

Silk Hope Farm Heritage Center (Silk Hope, Chatham County) Created by the Silk Hope Ruritan Club, the site contains a variety of steam powered equipment, including a working saw mill, door and window frame shop, electric generator, planer, cotton gin, cotton bail press, and an original 1845 Grist Mill. There is also a large selection of antique farm equipment, an original log cabin, barn, and more items on display during the Old Fashioned Farmers Day event in September and Farm Heritage Day in May.
